Wash Weekly is an independent publication written from an owner/operator perspective. It offers a different lens on the laundry business — one that questions assumptions and changes how owners and operators think about their businesses.
It's Operator Intelligence for the business of laundry. Research-backed perspectives, original analysis, and the kind of depth that makes you see your business differently. Owner/operator first, always.
Why Wash Weekly Exists
The laundry industry is small. Information is limited — the business is highly fragmented, largely privately owned. The people in it deserve a publication that speaks directly to how they think about their businesses.
Wash Weekly started in November 2022 to fill that gap — to provide a viewpoint that questions assumptions and offers perspectives that go deeper than what's typically available. Since then, a new editorial has gone out every Sunday without fail.
As the industry evolves, Wash Weekly evolves. There are no hard lines here except one, doing what's right for owners and operators. Thoughts and views will change as things get re-evaluated, as the business changes, as the economy shifts, and as the methods and practices of those in our industry change. That's not inconsistency, that's intellectual honesty. Nothing is static. New information, data, and trends emerge, and they should all be taken into account. Wash Weekly is built on that principle.
Editorial Independence
Wash Weekly is not paid by any company for the opinions or points of view expressed in editorials. What you read is what we've observed, researched, experienced, and what's been shared with us by other owners, operators, investors, distributors, suppliers, and people in the industry.
Sponsors and advertisers have designated spaces on the site and in emails. These are clearly marked. They have zero influence on editorial content. We may mention products or services we've found useful or that others in the industry have recommended. In some cases, these mentions may include affiliate links. The reason for mentioning them is their value to the reader; the affiliate link is secondary. Reader benefit comes first, and we feel it's only fair to give full disclosure.
We take our integrity and reputation seriously. When we make mistakes, and we will, we'll correct them publicly and take steps to avoid repeating them.
